Last Saturday, our own Tom Campenni, a partner in our Firm’s Litigation Department, participated in the 2021 Gentlemen’s Dash for Paint Pittston Pink. This year’s event was a huge success, as multiple fundraising goals were surpassed. In 2019, both the individual fundraising record (14K) and the team record (84K) were set. This year, the fundraising winner raised 23K and the total raised was 130K. Tom earned second-place in fundraising, having individually raised over 22K and successfully finished the Dash without getting hurt. Way to go, Tom!
For the last six years, Paint Pittston Pink has raised money for cancer research through a number of events held in Pittston during August and September, leading up to the Gentlemen’s Dash in October. In the Gentleman’s Dash, a number of male participants run in a race or “dash” with high heels on to symbolize the pain that patients face during cancer treatment.
To date, Paint Pittston Pink has donated nearly half a million dollars to targeted cancer research. To learn more, visit https://paintpittstonpink.org/gentlemens-dash
