Professional Activity Profile: Zachary J.C. Watkins, Zone 5 Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division Executive Council

In the final installment of our Professional Activity Profile series, we recognize the service of Zachary J.C. Watkins of our Litigation Department with the Young Lawyers Division of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association was founded in 1895 as a voluntary professional membership association for lawyers. Its mission is to promote justice, professional excellence, and respect for the law; improve public understanding of the law and the legal system; facilitate access to legal services for those in need; and provide a variety of professional benefits and networking opportunities. The Young Lawyers Division is composed of attorneys who have not reached their fortieth birthday or who have practiced for less than ten years. One of the primary ways the Young Lawyers Division pursues its mission is through coordinating the Pennsylvania High School Mock Trial Tournament in which more than 250 teams participated this year.

Zach serves as the Zone 5 Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division Executive Council where he promotes the interests of local county-level Young Lawyers Divisions from across Northeast Pennsylvania. He is active with the Mock Trial Tournament and has led both the District and Regional Competition and served as a juror in the State Final Tournament.
