Paul T. Rushton to co-present a seminar at the 2020 Business Law Institutue

Our own Paul T. Rushton and Sean-Tamba Matthew of SES ESOP Strategies will present a seminar titled “Tale of the Tape – Comparing and Contrasting the Business Transition Options (ESOPs, Management Buy-Outs, and Third-Party Sales) for Closely-Held Business Owners” at the 2020 Business Law Institute being held virtually on November 17th and 18th. This seminar will compare and contrast a sale of a closely-held business to an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) to a conventional sale to a third party or management. Paul and Sean will identify key differences between these options and will advise on circumstances that may lead to one option being preferable to the others, depending on the factors unique to the closely-held business and/or its owners.

Paul and Sean are both members of the Closely-Held Business Committee of the Business Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Paul serves as Chair of the Committee.
