On March 19th, Governor Tom Wolf ordered all non-life-sustaining businesses, including all law firms, in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to close their physical operations in an effort to combat COVID-19. Consistent with the Governor’s Order, the offices of Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald will be closed until further notice. We remain fully operational, however, with all of our lawyers and our entire staff working remotely. We continue to monitor the various governmental and other Coronavirus relief efforts and are available to assist with any issues you are confronting as a result of this crisis, as well as your other legal needs. Please let us know if we can provide any guidance or assistance to you in this difficult time. Stay safe.
Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald LLP is proud to support Dinners for Kids! This organization, founded nine years ago by David and Edna Tevet, has provided more than 300,000 meals to feed insecure children in the Greater Wyoming Valley. Currently more than 160 children receive 6 dinner meals each week, 52 weeks per year, delivered to their homes by volunteers at no cost to their families.
This is possible thanks to the financial support of our community and the many volunteers who package and deliver the meals. Contributing to this essential financial support, the Dinners for Kids third annual dinner will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 on Misericordia University’s campus @ 5:30 PM.
We would also like to congratulate Misericordia University’s Dr. Thomas & Vanessa Botzman, as well as Joe DeVizia, who will be honored at the event! To learn more or donate, please visit www.Dinners4Kids.org.
Congratulations to the Wyoming Valley Children’s Association (WVCA) on their successful Cooking for a Cause event! Cooking For A Cause is an annual event hosted by the Brotherhood of Chefs, an organization that was formed around 10 years ago, made up of regional professional chefs, who wanted to make a difference in children’s lives who attend WVCA. Through their passion for food, the Cooking For A Cause event was formed and the evening features a gourmet, progressive dinner – where all proceeds from the event are donated to WVCA programs. The WVCA provides the highest quality early childhood education to ensure the greatest developmental potential of all children in partnership with their families, including therapeutic and support services as needed.
Attorneys Paul Rushton and Bob Schaub attended this wonderful event. To learn more about the amazing work WVCA does, please visit www.wvcakids.org
Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald, LLP is proud to support the men and women of the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department who work hard to protect our city every day. Recently, we showed our support by purchasing an ad on the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department magnet along with a number of businesses in the area. The purchase of this ad goes to directly support the Community Policing Program, which will help our youth to gain a better understanding of the everlasting effect of drugs and violence.

On Tuesday, January 28, associates Nick Marinelli and Christyan Telech of our Business & Finance Department, and Rob Gawlas and TJ Jensen of our Litigation Department, volunteered as jurors for the 2020 PBA Young Lawyers Division Mock Trial Competition.
The Mock Trial Competition runs throughout the state, and local high school teams from Luzerne and Schuylkill counties participate in simulated trials at the Luzerne County Courthouse, in which local judges preside over the “case.” Jurors score the teams based on PBA-established criteria and the teams compete to advance to the Pennsylvania state finals held in Harrisburg on March 27th and 28th.
The winner of the Pennsylvania competition advances to the National Championship in Evansville, Indiana in May. Our firm is proud of the efforts of our associates in participating in this great event and congratulates the Young Lawyers Division and all of the participants in the event.
Our own Nick Marinelli, an associate in our Business & Finance Department, is participating in Leadership Wilkes-Barre. His group, Dream Builders, is asking for community members to play a role in a project that will make a huge difference in the lives of foster youth in our community.
Their goal is to acquire and install a new play area in the back yard of Brandon’s Forever Home (BFH) in Hazleton, in order to give the foster youth that receive services at BFH a safe, fun space to enjoy. Right now, they are holding a Rockin’ Raffle! Tickets are $25 each and only 200 are being sold. The grand prize winner will win 2 tickets to all three shows in Hershey: Motley Crue/Poison, the Hella Mega Tour (Weezer/Fallout Boy/Green Day), and Journey/The Pretenders. To purchase a ticket or to learn more about their project, please visit https://www.facebook.com/LWBDreamBuilders/ or contact any member of the Dream Builders team on the their Facebook Page.
