PRACTICE

Mr. Bigda represents individuals from around the State who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents or through the negligence or malpractice of others and seek to recover compensation for their loss and pain. He also represents defendants criminally charged by the state and federal government. Mr. Bigda has extensive trial experience in both areas. He has tried more than 60 jury trials. On behalf of his injured clients, Mr. Bigda has secured millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts in federal and state courts throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. He is recognized as one of the state’s most noted motor vehicle lawyers. In 2005, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Mr. Bigda won a significant victory on behalf of accident victims successfully arguing that the owner of a motor vehicle was responsible for it's driver's negligence. Drawing on his front-line experience as a former Luzerne County Assistant District Attorney, he has also successfully vindicated, at trial, many clients who were criminally charged by the government. Mr. Bigda is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and an Advocate of the American Association for Justice. He is also the Past President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Luzerne County Bar Association (Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association).
